Shedd Aquarium

We have been making several trips to Chicago.  In addition to Deanna's family being there, several of the kids' specialist doctors are in Chicago.  We try to coordinate trips with family visits and fun plans.  This past trip we made a special stop at the Shedd Aquarium.  Hannah's beloved penguins were off display, but we saw quite a few other aquatic friends.

Happy Birthday, Claire!

Our Claire Bear turned six!  We celebrated with all things Hello Kitty.  Claire is a girl that loves reading, Starbucks dates and crafts.  She is a leader with imagination and creativity.  Claire loves her dolls and playing outside.  Although she has a stubborn side, she has a smile to brighten a room.  We love you, Claire!  Happy Birthday!

A Special Meeting

In China, Hannah had a foster brother that was her best friend.  He was a bit older, but so loved.  He was at school during our visit, so we never met him.  We saw videos of them together and their relationship was special.  We were thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with his family.  He came home in October.  We were excited to set-up a meeting to reunite.  Winter break provided a great opportunity.  The kids had fun playing at a trampoline park and then eating lunch together.  Hannah had talked about the meeting and was so excited.  She was a bit shy when she saw her friend, but the meeting went well.  What a blessing to see two orphans that now have a family, love and hope!

Christmas Traditions

Once again, time has gotten the best of us and we are behind on the blog.  Sorry!  Just assume no news is good news! ;)

December was full off Christmas traditions.  It is so fun to share them with Hannah for the first time.  The kids look forward to our traditions each year.  It is a special time that we celebrate Jesus' birthday.  We are so thankful for the gift of Jesus and the many ways God has blessed our family.
