Hockey Season is in Full Swing!

With three hockey players in the house, we spend a lot of time at the rink.  Nathan is playing with his house league team in addition to some jamborees with a travel team.  Claire and Micah are in mini-mites and this weekend played their first game of the season.  All three are having a lot of fun and enjoy their time on the ice.

Our favorite hockey players!

Nathan ready to play in his first Jamboree in Springfield.  He was so excited to play four games in one day.  His team won 3 of 4 games.  Nathan played goalie one game and earned his first shut-out.  It was fun!

Blog Catch-up

We are behind!  Here are the highlights from mid-November to mid-December.  Enjoy!

The one and only semi-decent picture from Thanksgiving.

After hiking the whole field, we found our tree!

Deanna and Claire sang in A Community Christmas: It's Christmas!
It was a wonderful time of worship and celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus.

Finally decorating our tree...a week after cutting it down.  Did we mention it has been a bit busy?!

Celebrating Hannah!

This week we celebrate Hannah being home for six months.  Can you believe it?!  It is amazing to see how much she has overcome in a short time.

What is Hannah up to?
*Hannah is potty trained!
*Hannah understands most English and speaks full sentences.
*Hannah says, "I love you!"
*Hannah loves Minnie Mouse!
*Hannah likes to eat broccoli, noodles and oranges.
*Hannah plays puzzles, babies, trains and kitchen.
*Hannah has gained 2 pounds and grown 1.5 inches since coming home.

We also praise God that Hannah is nine weeks post-op and doing remarkably well.  Today we met with Hannah's amazing neurosurgeon and nurse practitioner.  Seriously, these two have been instrumental in Hannah's success.  They have always made us feel important and well cared for.  We are so thankful for their excellent care and expertise.

They are very pleased with Hannah's recovery.  Her MRI showed that the tumor and tract were removed completely.  Praise God!  They will continue to watch the fatty area of her brain that is malformed.  Her next MRI and check-up is in six months!  This is a great answer to prayer since they were talking about doing them every three months originally.  In the meantime, we will follow-up with ophthalmology and neurology.  We will also see genetics due to Hannah's mid-line birth defects.  We really like to go to doctors and hospitals. ;)

Since we are still working on Hannah's adoption video, let's take a look back at the past six months in pictures.  God is so good!

Happy Birthday to Micah!

After much anticipation, last week was Micah's 7th birthday!  He was counting downs the days since we celebrated with our extended family a few weeks ago.  We talked a lot about what his big plans were for his birthday.  His ideas seemed to change daily.  He finally decided that he wanted to do some fun things with the family.  We celebrated with his favorite meals, cake, balloons, presents, Chuck E Cheese and ice skating.  It was a fun time!

Happy Birthday Micah!
